📍To celebrate Founders’ Day (the anniversary of the founding of SUNY Oneonta in 1889), we proudly unveiled a historical marker today alongside the Oneonta History Center at the intersection of State St. and Maple St. downtown.

This was the site of “Old Main,” where the first generation of SUNY Oneonta students came to learn, grow and thrive.

The sandstone pillars from the entrance to Old Main, visible in these archival photos, were preserved and transported to our campus up the hill, where they stand today 🌳

Fall 2026 Club eXpo was a great success! 🎉 More than 1,500 students gathered inside Alumni Field House to learn about the hundreds of clubs and organizations we have on campus. It's going to be a great year at SUNY Oneonta!
