Sixteen TVCC students walked into Micron curious — and walked out convinced of their wide-open future.

Recently several TVCC Career and Technical Education students got an inside look at one of the most innovative tech companies in the world, right here in the Treasure Valley. They toured the facility, heard from industry pros, and got up close with the technology shaping the future of memory and storage.

On the drive back, every single student said they were more interested in a career at Micron than before the tour. That's why we prioritize real-world, hands-on experience and training at TVCC, so students can envision the many possibilities they have for rewarding and exciting careers.

Thank you, Micron, for investing in our students and our region. The partnership between TVCC and Micron is building the workforce pipeline of tomorrow.

High school students, registration is nearly closed for this year's Summer Trades Camp!

The TVCC Trades Summer Camp is back at the Advanced Energy & Trade Center in Ontario, OR — June 29 & 30, 2026. High school students 16 and up will get hands-on experience in building construction, electrical, plumbing, advanced energy, and facilities maintenance — every student rotates through every station.

By the end of day two, each student will have used real tools, real materials, and real techniques from all five trades to assemble a project they keep. They'll walk out with the build, a starter tool kit, and a real sense of what these careers look like up close.

💼 Free of charge
🥪 Lunch provided both days
