As we have Fall Rush starting today, we wanted to give you all some insight into each of our 10 amazing social fraternities on campus. We asked each chapter these three questions to learn a bit more about them -
1. Describe your chapter in three words, but you cannot use “brotherhood,” “family,” or “fun.”
2. What is something about your chapter that most students on campus don’t know?
3. What accomplishment or tradition are you most proud of as a chapter?
Answers for each chapter will be in the caption for their slide of this post. We hope to see you all out at Fall Rush Kickoff!
1. Describe your chapter in three words, but you cannot use “brotherhood,” “family,” or “fun.”
Committed, Friendly, Strong
2. What is something about your chapter that most students on campus don’t know?
One thing about Delts that most students don’t know on campus is that 90% of our brothers live together, with majority living on Delt Row where we have three houses right next to one another.
3. What accomplishment or tradition are you most proud of as a chapter?
One accomplishment and tradition I am most proud of is our annual philanthropy, Delta Queen which has become one of the biggest philanthropy events on campus. Over the past two years we’ve been able to raise $105,000 for BreakThrough T1D, a nonprofit that aims to end Type One diabetes. We have been recognized nationally for this event and are the leading contributors to this incredible organization.
1. Genuine, Motivated, Tight-knit
2. We don’t take ourselves too seriously. We’re always joking around and having a laugh. Everyone brings something different to the group, and I think that’s what makes our chapter what it is.
3. Our semi-formal trip to Mexico is a great tradition. It’s something we all look forward to every year, and having the whole chapter together for a weekend far from Orange creates some of our best memories. It’s one of those traditions that really brings everyone closer and has become a big part of what makes our chapter special.
1: tight-knit, supportive, outgoing
2: We put a lot of emphasis on brotherhood events to bring guys together. Whether that’s our Fiji flag football league, game day
