Due to the predicted weather conditions, LSCO will be closed beginning at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, through Friday, June 19, 2026. This closure includes all hybrid, online and in-person classes at Orange, Lumberton, and Livingston campuses.

Emancipation Day Campus Closure

Lamar State College Orange will close at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2026, and remain closed on Friday, June 19, 2026, in recognition of Emancipation Day in Texas. This includes campuses in Orange, Lumberton, Livingston and San Marcos.

Campus will reopen on Monday, June 22 with regular business hours.

A group of local teachers from the Teacher Externship Program with Workforce Solutions Southeast Texas toured LSCO’s facilities and program offerings this week. The Teacher Externship Program connects local educators with Southeast Texas employers to bring real-world workforce insight into the classrooms they serve.
