Happy Spring Break LEADers ! Heres a leader .arguello would follow while you have some free time to read šŸ˜‰

ā€œRosa Parks had a powerful impact on U.S. history because her courage helped spark the modern Civil Rights Movement. In 1955, she refused to give up her seat on a segregated bus in Montgomery, Alabama, challenging unfair laws that discriminated against African Americans. Her quiet but firm act of resistance led to the Montgomery Bus Boycott and showed that one person’s bravery can inspire an entire nation to demand change. Rosa Parks was an especially important leader for women because she demonstrated strength, dignity, and determination during a time when both racism and sexism limited opportunities for many. She proved that leadership does not always require loud speeches—it can begin with standing up, or in her case sitting down, for what is right. In today’s difficult times, her example reminds us how important it is to use our voices, stand up for what we believe in, and work toward equality and justice for everyone.ā€

Leaders are everywhere ! Team Leader chose a leader they would follow from the Hunger Games !

ā€œKatniss is a leader I would follow, she leads by example. She protects the people she loves. She stands up when it would be easier to stay silent. She risks everything, even when she’s scared. That kind of courage hits different.

In The Hunger Games, she becomes the Mockingjay not because she asked to, but because people needed hope. And sometimes the strongest leaders are the ones who never wanted the spotlight in the first place.

She’s not perfect. She’s not political. She’s not polished.
But she’s real. And that’s why people follow her.ā€œ

A LEADER WE WOULD FOLLOW this week was chosen by Lucy Orozco ! šŸ’š

ā€œMichelle Obama is an incredible example of what true leadership looks like in real life. She represents a kind of success that feels both aspirational and attainable—one that shows you do not have to choose between being accomplished and being present, ambitious and compassionate, powerful and human. As a mother, professional, and public figure, she has consistently shown that leadership can exist alongside family life, not in opposition to it. By openly discussing the challenges of motherhood, work, and self-doubt, she normalizes the idea that strong leaders are not perfect—they are persistent, honest, and willing to grow.

What makes Michelle Obama such an effective leader is not just her visibility, but her intelligence and discipline behind the scenes. Long before becoming First Lady, she was already highly accomplished—excelling academically, working as a lawyer, and holding leadership roles in public service. Her success is rooted in preparation, education, and an undeniable work ethic. She speaks with clarity and purpose, whether addressing young students, world leaders, or everyday families, and she does so in a way that makes people feel seen and capable. That ability to communicate with both confidence and empathy is a rare talent and a defining leadership skill.

Perhaps most importantly, Michelle Obama leads by example. She reminds us that leadership is not about being loud or dominant, but about integrity, consistency, and impact. She uses her platform to uplift others, advocate for education and health, and encourage young people—especially women—to believe in their own potential. Her life shows that it is possible to be deeply committed to family while also pursuing meaningful, high-level success. In a world that often tells women they must choose one path, Michelle Obama proves that leadership can be multifaceted, balanced, and deeply personal—and that is what makes her truly powerful.ā€

This week’s leader is Kellie Gerardi chosen by team leader Emeree Flynn.

ā€œKellie Gerardi is a leader I’d want to follow because she is both amazingly impressive and genuinely real. She is the 90th woman to go to space and is a passionate mother. She was and still is a very strong and educated woman. She also takes the time to explain her work through books she wrote. Some were made for kids and others for adults. I really respect how she stands as an inspiration model for younger girls, paving the way for the ones who wish to pursue male dominated workspaces. She is open about her parenting journey as a mom and how she navigates her career along with it. This is very affirming to those who want a career and family life. The way she lives out her feminist values makes her leadership feel worth following.ā€
