About the Role
This internship offers hands-on experience in public outreach, communications, social media
marketing, and civic engagement. The intern will play a key role in increasing public awareness of JPEC and its resources, including the website judges.utah.gov.
Position Details
• Start Date: Flexible; Summer 2026 through the November election
• Schedule: 10-15 hours/week, increasing to 20 hours per week, closer to election
• Pay: $16/hour
• Work Format: Flexible; largely remote with some in-person opportunities
Responsibilities
• Support efforts to increase awareness of JPEC and its public resources
• Assist with election outreach initiatives, including social media campaigns and advertising
• Contribute to website design and content updates
• Conduct courtroom observations as part of the evaluation process
• Assist with data entry and data management tasks
This role may also include travel to college campuses and rural communities to distribute outreach materials. Mileage is reimbursed at state rates.
