This is the official page for the newly established lifting club at Utah Valley University: The SWOLVERINES.

Our mission is to develop the lifting culture at UVU. We are welcoming to all levels of lifters and want to help you succeed in the gym. Hello!

I need your help!

My name is Taylor Jensen, and I am a friend of Anthony’s. I am producing a short film for Fun Sized Nation called INK. We are in need of some cool people to look like security guards on the 23rd and 25th of this month and who could look more badass then all of you? (Men and women welcome!) We would love your help! UVU has a guest speaker named Kyle Maynard.
Kyle Maynard is an entrepreneur, speaker, bestselling author, award-winning extreme athlete, and the first man to bear-crawl to the top of the highest mountain in Africa, Mount Kilimanjaro (19,340 feet), and the summit of Argentina’s Mount Aconcagua (22,838 feet), the highest peak in both the Western and Southern Hemispheres.
His moto is "No excuses" and this could be a good motivational experience to inspire yourself to be better and work harder.

Hey SQUAD! The Swolverines is now a chartered club at UVU!

GO JOIN TODAY! You can join by going to SL-122 and there is a $5 fee to join. GET YOUR FRIENDS TO JOIN! Read our last post to know more about what we plan to do for this club!

Our next goals are to set up the seminars, table for the club, create tracking sheets, and plan the power-lifting event. I would like to hold a meeting to plan these topics. The meeting will be held Friday, October 6th at 3pm. Message us if you would like come to this meeting! It would be a great help!

Hey Swolverines! We are getting things going again! We are working to get the lifting competition up and running. The goal is to get a competition going this semester to build our community again! Our past President has made the life gains and moved on to the business world. BUT, he has not left us! He is now working for a supplement company and we are working with him to get sponsors and discounts on supplement! The VP (Tyler Hemmert) and myself (Anthony Collins) are working to build a business plan to present to this supplement company. The biggest thing we need is the following! We need members! So, for those of you who are passionate about this club and about promoting fitness and wellness we need your help!

Two major ideas that we are working to implement are seminars in which we will have personal trainers come in to teach newer members to gain confidence in the gym and the other is to have club wise gains trackers. I would like to create a strength tracker and a overall fitness tracker to help members quantify their gains and watch themselves improve and grow.

For those of you that have people interested have them like this page and send us a message! The club will be charted hopefully by next week! Then I will be reaching out to inform you all how to officially join the club. Feel free to contact us on this page if you have any questions!
