CAPTAINS SPOTLIGHT - CAROLINA EFFINGER, SARAH FIELDS & KAYLA WRIGHT

Carolina is a third year senior from Chapin, SC. She will be graduating with a BS in Psychology and a minor in Life Sciences. After graduation, she is going to get her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Emory University. Her favorite T-Strut memory has been all of the team bonding events this year!!

Sarah is a fourth year senior from Chapin, SC. She will be graduating with both General and Departmental Honors, with a BS in physics, and a minor in political science. After graduation, she is going to get her PhD in nuclear physics at () University. Her favorite T-Strut memory has been chaotic car rides from Tuesday practice.

Kayla is a fourth year senior from Statesville, North Carolina. She will be graduating with a BA in Communication and a minor in Psychology. Upon graduation her first priority will be competing in Miss North Carolina in June but then plans to obtain a job in the professional sports world in a communication role. Her favorite T-Strut memory has been finding her best friends and team bonding.

We have loved leading this team and are SO PROUD of our girls! We you all so much! Thank you for taking this crazy ride with us 🤍

✨ TIGER STRUT SHOWCASE ✨

Get excited! Tiger Strut is having their first annual showcase April 15th from 6:00-7:30 in the Brooks Performing Arts Center!

This showcase gives you a chance to see our National dances and more!

Tickets are $15 but there is a credit card fee, so we recommend calling the Brooks Center Box Office to reserve your tickets or going in person. Your dancer can go reserve the tickets for you if you are not in the Clemson area!

One of our Tiger Strut members Kailey Kocur has been personally affected by the crisis in Ukraine. Please take time to read a message from her below and learn how you can help:

"Hi guys it’s Kailey! I’m sure all of you have heard about the Crisis occurring in Ukraine currently. Millions of people have been displaced and over 400,000 children are living in the conflict zone. My family is Ukrainian and many of them are still overseas. I wanted to raise awareness on this crisis so I created a go fund me. The money will be directly donated to savethechildren.org which will provide Ukrainian children with food, hygienic kits, school supplies, and other materials they need. This isn’t just a problem for Ukraine but it is a global humanitarian crisis. No child deserves to be living in these situations and I want do everything in my power to make an impact. It would mean the world to me if you would share this go fund me with friends and family. I will also be posting something later in order to spread awareness on my own platform. 🚨TIGER STRUT MASTER CLASS 🚨
We are so excited to announce that we will be hosting a master class on February 20, 2022 from 12:30-3:00! Dancers that are aged from high school seniors to college students are welcomed to attend. The master class will include: a warm up, across the floor, jazz combo, contemporary combo and a Q&A with the current Tiger Strut Team! Although we will be holding a Q&A session about the team, don’t feel as if this means you have to audition. The master class is $15 venmoed to prior to the date or $20 at the door. Meet the Captains: Kayla!

Kayla is a senior Communication major from Statesville, North Carolina. She has been on the team for 4 years and was voted Best Stage Presence her sophomore year. Her favorite style is lyrical/contemporary, and her advice for auditions is: “Come in and show us the best version of yourself. You and your style of dancing are unique so don’t come trying to fit into a mold of what you think we want. Just be you, that’s all we could ever ask for!”
