UCF Creative School for Children

UCF Creative School for Children Welcome to the UCF Creative School for Children. We believe all children have the basic right to be educated in a safe and nurturing environment.

This is the official page for announcements from the UCF Creative School for Children (CSC) and the Creative School Parent Association (CSPA). Our philosophy began in 1976 with our founding Director Dolores Burhgard that all children have the basic right to be educated in a safe and nurturing environment. All children should be provided with time, space, and opportunities needed to discover, accep

t, and develop themselves to their highest potentials. Additionally, we believe that in order to become lifelong learners, young children need to be provided with concrete meaningful experiences to help them develop a positive self esteem, skills in problem solving, creative thinking, self reliance, and interpersonal communications.

When your child is having a meltdown... don't talk. Don't try to reason. Don't get angry. Your child can't hear you. Just be silent and loving until the storm passes. Words can come later.
