🎓✨ We love supporting our seniors on their road to graduation

Recently, South University, Orlando welcomed Laura Cessna and Sara Ibrahim from our Career Services team for a special visit dedicated to encouraging and empowering our soon‑to‑be seniors.

As part of their senior term, students will be working closely with Sara Ibrahim, Director of Career Services, to strengthen their résumés, sharpen their interview skills, and prepare confidently for the next steps in their professional journeys.

We are incredibly proud of our seniors, their hard work, determination, and passion shine bright. The future is full of opportunity, and we can’t wait to see where their paths lead next. Onward to success!

Last week, South University, Orlando hosted a special luncheon to honor the heart of its nursing program the dedicated faculty and students who bring compassion, resilience, and excellence to their work every day.

The event served as a meaningful moment of appreciation during Nurses Month, recognizing the hard work, perseverance, and commitment that define the nursing profession. Faculty and students were thanked for the care they bring to every patient, classroom, and community they serve.

Quarter Two Fundamentals of Nursing students are buzzing with anticipation as they prepare to enter their very first clinical quarter. This important step marks the beginning of their hands‑on journey into client care, a moment filled with excitement, purpose, and pride.

With the guidance of our new adjunct faculty member, Professor Marie Elie, students are feeling confident, supported, and ready to bring their classroom learning to life in real clinical settings.

During a week dedicated to honoring the compassion, resilience, and dedication of nurses everywhere, Orlando’s Fundamentals students are taking their own meaningful step toward joining the profession.

Meet Princess Nesmith, a 2025 Bachelor of Science in Nursing graduate from South University, Columbia, whose journey into nursing began as a little girl dressing up in her grandmother’s nursing cape and hat.

After working in nursing-related roles since 1992, Princess returned to school to pursue her BSN and achieve a lifelong dream. She shares how South University helped prepare her not only clinically, but professionally, for the next chapter of her career, and she’s not done yet! 👏 Princess plans to continue her journey by returning to South to pursue her Master’s degree.

Her story is a powerful reminder that it’s never too late to pursue your purpose!
