From the classroom to the Capitol, students gain firsthand exposure to the legislative process by working directly in Tallahassee. UCF Legislative Scholars is a prestigious nonpartisan Spring Internship program that will place students with state legislative offices, or lobbyist offices, full-time in support of the Florida Legislative Session in Tallahassee, Florida. Each selected intern will be
assigned to a member of the Legislative Delegation or a lobbying group and will be expected to spend at least three months in Tallahassee (shared apartment provided and rent paid), supporting the legislative office, or lobby office with research, constituent relations, bill tracking, and other duties required in the daily operations of a legislative office during the Session. The UCF Legislative Scholars Internship provides a $3,000 scholarship for the Spring semester. Applications are due on September 22, 2024 and can be found on Handshake under “Legislative Scholars Internship 2025.”
