Dr. Williams was the University's first academic dean and served as assistant to the president from 1993 - 2014. Mission

The mission of the R. Williams Library is to support the educational programs and goals of Adventist University of Health Sciences by providing instruction and resource materials that promote spiritual, professional, and personal development. Vision

The library’s vision is to

provide information activities and environments for self-directed, interactive, and collaborative learning. In partnership with University faculty, we will support academic excellence for current and anticipated instructional programs. We will serve as a student-centered library in which quality services, student success, and life-long learning are primary goals recognized and shared by staff.

The R.A. Williams Library collection consists of approximately 12,000 print books, over 17,000 eBooks, nearly 28,000 electronic journal titles, more than 50,000 streaming videos, as well as 118 databases and 60 anatomical models. We have amazing librarians! They can help with subject specific research consultations in person, over the phone, by chat or email. The R.A. Williams Library is here to support you!
