Dear friends and colleagues,
Over the past year, I have been working to build an online community site specifically for counselor educators, with my partner Joe Davis.
We are excited to announce its launch, and at this point, we need you help!
The site is called CESLink.org and is comprised of 2 main functions:
1) Member profiles and collaboration (with advanced search options to connect and maintain connections with other counselor educators, collaborate on research projects, and create messaging groups among folks in the community, post CVs and pubs, etc.)
2) Forum (moderated forum to discuss topics relevant to counselor education, announce job positions, announce conferences and proposals, seek job positions, etc. You can subscribe to certain forum threads to get e-mail notifications when someone posts.)
It shouldn't take more than 5 minutes to register.
In order for this site to work, we need members to sign up and start using the site. We truly believe this can be a great opportunity and resource for our profession.
We believe this site will benefit the CES community by bridging the gap between research interests and collaborations, by connecting on a more personal level, by maintaining contact with individuals we meet at conferences and in the community, and by exchanging ideas and information in an organized, moderated, accessible, and easily-managed way.
So at this point, we are in the testing phase and asking for your help!
1) Please register on www.ceslink.org with your .edu e-mail address.
2) Fill in the profile search fields.
3) Confirm the registration via your e-mail (we are getting rid of this temporarily since it seems the e-mails end up in people's spam folders)
4) Start using the site (forum, connecting with others)
5) Please provide feedback pertaining to the site in the "FEEDBACK" thread on the forum (functionality, usability, topics, profile fields, searchability, subscribe to forum threads, etc.)
6) Spread the word to your friends and colleagues in counselor education!
Thank you SO MUCH for your support in this endeavor, and we are so excited to get this going!
