The School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Valencia College is committed to fostering critical thinking, effective communication and intellectual curiosity through engaging, student-centered instruction.

Congratulations to this week's Featured Colleague: Librarian Angela Hall!

Downtown Campus Librarian Angela Hall refers to herself as a “certified book-enthusiast” who actually doesn’t mind her commute to work — it gives her time to listen to more books.

“My long commute from Clermont is actually perfect for 'reading' fantastic YA [Young Adult] audiobooks, like fantasy, thrillers or sci-fi,” Angela says. An eternal optimist and native North Carolinian, Angela previously lived in six states and nine cities before moving to Florida to join the college as a tenure-track librarian in July 2019.
