“Freshman year, while I met great friends, I still missed being around people who shared the same values as my family and wanted to find a place that truly felt like home. That’s what led me to look into recruitment.

From the moment I walked into ADPi, I felt surrounded by girls who were genuine, uplifting, and made me feel completely comfortable being myself. Beyond the friendships I’ll always treasure, they’ve inspired me to grow, step outside of my comfort zone, and become the most genuine version of myself, all while knowing I’ll always have a community supporting me.

When I first joined, I learned our motto, “We live for each other,” and I think it’s truly fitting because every day I feel the support of my sisters and the love I have for them.” - Emily AC’24

“Kaylie and I were in the same rho gamma group and were fortunate enough to run home to ADPI together. I remember the first conversation with Kaylie was after our pref ceremony in ADPI. We both said much we LOVED ADPI and wanted to be there more than anything. The next day was bid day, we opened our envelopes next to each other and then ran home together! Since then, we have become closer and closer and have become the best of friends. She has helped me grow in my academics, confidence, and self as a whole. I am forever grateful to have someone like Kaylie in my life and to call her my sister! My out of state twin, I love you so much!! “- Brynn AC’24

“Brynn and I were lucky enough to meet during recruitment week and instantly connected under the tent. I remember talking every single day and realizing how much we both loved ADPi and could truly see ourselves there. On bid day we got the chance to run home together which made the experience even more special. Since then we’ve only grown closer and closer and Brynn has truly become one of my best friends. She constantly pushes me to be better, supports me through everything, and has helped me grow so much in my confidence and as a person. This year we even got the opportunity to serve together on the executive board which has made our friendship even more meaningful. “Asian Pacific Islander Heritage Month feels extra special to me because it lets me celebrate the beautiful parts of being Filipino! My love for my giant family and happiness in every gathering makes it so heartwarming. As a daughter of a a Catholic Filipino immigrant, I learn the value of hard work and being deeply rooted in my faith. With the support of my family I have been able to accomplish so much. Visiting Tarlac, Philippines and spending time on the island will always be my favorite keepsake. This month is such a sweet reminder of where I come from and how proud I am to carry that it with me every day.“
