Valencia College in collaboration with Central Florida fire agencies has established the premier Fire Rescue Institute to provide career pathways to meet the needs of the fire service community in Central Florida, nationally, and globally. The programs infuse high quality and diverse learning and development opportunities to advance all professionals in the industry. The Fire Rescue Institute prep

ares all levels of fire service professionals including the Fire Fighter, Fire Officer, Fire Inspector, Fire Investigator, and Fire Instructor. Also, the Fire Science Technology Associate in Science degree program provides opportunities for students to continue to the bachelor’s degree in partnership with UCF’s Direct-Connect.

The last two information sessions for the Fire Science Academy are this Saturday June 11th at 11AM and Wednesday the 22nd at 6pm.

The Fire science Academy is a cohort model AS degree that includes four certificates: firefighter 1 & 2 , EMT, and fire inspector 1.

Both information sessions will be held at the school of public safety at 8600 Valencia College lane.
