Dean Matthew Theriot joined Clinical Professor Jennifer Plant and Master of Athletic Training students for a hands-on lesson in concussion assessment.
Students worked through simulated injuries, practicing how to recognize concussion symptoms, evaluate athletes and determine the appropriate next steps in their care. They also had the chance to put Dean Theriot through the assessment process!
The exercise gave students an opportunity to apply what they've learned in the classroom and practice the skills they'll need as effective athletic trainers.
