Welcome back Black Bears! Here’s some important info for testing upon your return to campus!

Phase 4 and 5 COVID-19 testing in Alfond Arena is for:
• Students living in on-campus housing OR
• Out-of-state students living off campus who are enrolled in at least one face-to-face class

Remember to bring to Alfond Arena:
☑️ Your ticket for your scheduled on-campus testing appointment.
☑️ Your MaineCard.
☑️ If applicable, documentation of a negative PCR or antigen COVID-19 test result with 72 hours of the date of arrival. 
☑️ If applicable, documentation of being diagnosed with COVID-19 in the past 90 days.

Once you have your wristband:
☑️ Move into your residence hall or return to your off-campus housing.
☑️ Shelter in place until test results are in, 24 to 72 hours. Those who have provided documentation of a positive or negative test result will abide by the UMaine shelter in place procedures for 24 to 72 hours.
☑️ Review the Black Bear Pact and other information at umaine.edu/return.

The Coronavirus pandemic presented challenges and difficulties for those around the world, including our Black Bears. But as UMSG Vice President Zack Wyles spoke about, our students have a passion that can't be put out. We are proud of the obstacles that our community has overcome, thank you for all that you have done. Remember students, while you are headed home this week, the semester is not over yet. For now, we plan to keep our system and hours the same going into the summer semester. We will continue online ordering with pickups Wednesdays 12-5 and Saturday 9-12. We will continue to get fresh produce and food from Good Shepherd Food Bank, and we are receiving donations regularly to help make our funding last longer. ‼️ The Memorial Union is open only to current UM and UMS employees and students. A Maine Card will be needed for entry beginning 3/27/20. The card swipe is set up at the northeast door off of the MLK Jr. Plaza. ‼️

Updated Memorial Union hours as of 3/26/2020, in affect until May 10, 2020. You can still shop the bookstore online or call at 207-581-1728.

The UMaine Veterans Association has awarded a total of $3500 in grants to 12 Veterans and family members as part of their Bullets to Books Grant!! This Grant was made possible from the generosity of the Alton '38 and Adelaide Hamm Campus Activity Fund!

Congrats to the 12 Veterans and families of the Bullets to Books Grant!! This Grant was made possible from the generosity of the Alton '38 and Adelaide Hamm Campus Activity Fund! Recipients are of Active Duty status, National Guard service members, and supportive family members of Veterans. The UMVA is proud to help and support all members in the UMaine Veteran community!!
