URSA Minor UMaine Research Student Association for Undergraduate Students. URSA Minor meets every Thursday at 5:30PM in the Foster Center for Student Innovation.

URSA Minor is a student-run organization at the University of Maine that works to connect undergraduate students with research opportunities on and off campus. We focus on providing networking opportunities, research resume tips, and laboratory and industry information to University of Maine Students. The connections students make and experience students receive through URSA Minor can aide in admi

ssion to graduate school, finding employment after college, and exploring different areas of concentration in STEM fields.

We are currently planning a raffle to raise funds for outreach at local schools and to take trips to research labs off campus. This year we have toured a number of on-campus facilities and Bigelow Labs in Boothbay harbor. We will be hopefully touring as well this semester S**o River Dye House and Mount Desert Island Biological Laboratories. Look for us in the newspaper or on our page as our first outreach event was the 24th of March, last Thursday, at Old Town Middle school where we brought a reverse science fair into the classroom for 80 students. Check the times and locations, so if you are interested to buy any tickets stop in then. Otherwise, email us at [email protected]. We are raffling off OHOP and Computer Essentials gift cards total worth $50.
