Mom Away From Mom Hi, I'm Julie! Your UMO Mom Away From Mom! Hi, I'm Julie, and I am your Mom Away From Mom! I am here to help!

When my oldest went off to college, there were several times I wished I had known a local mom (parent/guardian) who could make a quick delivery or otherwise check in with my student. Two times that stand out to me were their birthday and when they were a bit under the weather. Living in Orono now, I am offering this service to the parents/guardians of the students at UMaine campus here in town! I

know how hard it can be to be far away from our students, and a birthday treat delivery or a sick care package delivery from a local mom can help us feel more connected in these moments. If you have a need for a Mom Away From Mom for your student, please message me!

It has been such a JOY to deliver to your students and be a mom-proxy for you all over the years!!!

My life is pulling my energies and focus in a different direction and I will not have the time and flexibility to continue to offer this service to you all.

I will keep my page up so you can access the posts for ideas and resources in case they’re helpful.

I wish you all an amazing year at UMaine! Orono is a special place and I am sure your students will thrive!!

Hello MAFM Family, Friends, and Fans!

I am back from Hiatus with an ANNOUNCEMENT.

Mom Away From Mom will be taking the rest of FALL SEMESTER OFF. I have two graduating seniors this year and on top of my other job and responsibilities, I simply don’t have the time in my schedule this semester.

Thank you all for all your understanding and support!! These past two years delivering to your students have been awesome!!!

I will make an update for the SPRING SEMESTER over winter break.

That said, here are two recommendations you can check out in my absence:
