Spring break is in just a few days! This is your reminder that break doesn’t have to be a picture perfect trip, it can be a time for you to reset and relax!
ID: Slide 1: Colorful collage-style graphic with illustrations of a butterfly, caterpillar, star character wearing boots, clover with a ladybug, a bowl of cereal, and a digital camera. The University of Maine Student Life Student Wellness Resource Center logo appears in the top right corner. Text in the center reads: “Let’s Talk About Spring Break.”
Slide 2: Pastel watercolor background with rounded text boxes. Text reads: “Spring break can be an isolating time for a lot of students. When routines stop and many friends leave campus, it can feel quiet or lonely. Seeing everyone’s trips on social media can make that feeling even stronger. If you’re feeling this way, you’re not the only one. Many students spend spring break working, staying local, or taking time to rest.”
Slide 3: Graphic with a smartphone illustration on the left and colorful tile background. Text on the phone reads: “Staying home, or not travelling can include: Saving money, giving your mind a break, moving your body, finding new hobbies.” On the right side, text reads: “Social media is a highlight reel.” Additional text says: “If your feed is full of beaches and trips, it’s easy to feel like you’re missing out. But not going away is more common than you think and it can still be good for you.”
Slide 4: Green striped background with a notepad graphic titled “Making the Most of a Quiet Spring Break.” Text lists ideas: “Do some spring cleaning: cleaning your space can be a great way to help reset for the new season. Read a new book: take a trip to the public library or pick up a book you’ve been putting off. Reading is a great way to unwind and relax. Start a journal: journaling can be a great way to organize your thoughts and reflect. Make it fun by using markers or pens.”
