At 107 years old, Maine Masque is third oldest student lead collegiate theater company in the country. We value commitment, cooperation, and education.

Each year the Maine Masque produces one main stage production as part of the School of Performing Arts season of events. Here’s a friendly reminder that our 2022 Maine Masque Main Stage Show applications close very soon!

For those of you who don't know: each year Maine Masque produces their own show, which is proposed by a student director and worked on entirely by student designers. All that you need in order to submit the application is a play you would like to do, a developed idea of how it can be done, and an interest in directing!

You'll find all of the relevant information on the application, which can be accessed here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1btRJ0T-TySCs81yt3N2S_wPyKsoDQOca/view?usp=sharing.

The deadline is this coming Friday, April 16th, 2021, and when you have filled out the application please send it to Katie Luck; her email is on the application form.

Additionally, an important note for applicants: next year, (2021-2022) Maine Masque is looking to do a straight play – not a musical – as the department is planning on doing a musical next spring.

Good Morning Maine Masque!

Back by popular demand is our Bollywood Dance Party, led by our very own Maine Masque Council Member, Pooja Rawat. It will be held in Hauck Auditorium on our upcoming Reading Day, Thursday, April 15th from 1pm-2:30pm. We will be moving around and definitely breaking a sweat so make sure to wear comfortable clothing and of course your face mask!

This will be our last event this semester before Apple Awards, so make sure you don’t miss out. Hope to see you all there :)

It’s finally here!! Streaming for Maine Masque’s Main-stage production God of Carnage is available now.

This show was student directed, by senior Pooja Rawat, and designed by an amazing team of student designers.

🌟Welcome back Maine Masque🌟

We’re starting off with our events this semester with a super fun Trivia Night, where you can test your knowledge on theatre, UMaine history, and even the occasional odd ball question.

The event will be taking place at 2:00pm-4:00pm on Saturday, February 13th in Hauck Auditorium. In the efforts of being as safe as possible, please remember to social distance and wear your face coverings. Come one and all to the virtual Fall Ball, to celebrate a wonderful semester with Maine Masque! We have a bunch of fun activities planned, including some musical improv led by our council member, , some fun contests, and a slide show of all of the fun memories we have had this semester.

If you’d like to be entered for a chance to win some prizes, make sure to show up to the zoom call with your favorite ugly (holiday or not) sweater. If you don’t have one, feel free to make a wild virtual background for consideration as well!

After the event is over, anyone that is interested will be included in a Maine Masque game of Among Us.

Hope to see everyone there, this Friday, after finals are over, at 7pm.
