UW Oshkosh Department of Residence Life Create residence hall environments which are conducive to the academic, social, and personal growth of students.

Goals of the Department:

*Create residence hall environments which are conducive to the academic, social and personal growth of students.

*Provide clean, secure, comfortable, well-maintained, affordable residence hall environments in response to students' needs.

*Foster students' awareness of their rights and responsibilities as accountable members of residence hall communities.

*Design opportunities and support systems which enhance student leadership.

*Support the university's academic mission and goals.

*Provide computer technology and support staff within the residence halls to assist in the academic success of students.

*Develop and offer programs and services in response to students' needs.

*Provide a caring, motivated, helpful and well-trained staff who support the mission and goals of the Department of Residence Life.

*Establish an open and diverse environment that promotes the understanding and acceptance of cultural, ethnic, racial, physical, sexual and religious differences.

*Provide conference facilities and services to the university and Fox Valley communities. Beliefs of the Department:

Jason Lambie loved his time being a Community Advisor at Fletcher Hall! What is a CA? Community Advisors (CAs) are responsible for the development of a floor community, assisting in the safety and security of the building, and participating in a rotational duty program.

Now that school is winding down, we would like to share a wonderful opportunity with you to learn more about Hall Staff (CA and HA) positions available for the 2021-2022 academic year! Being a CA or HA is an amazing leadership experience that provides you with many transferable skills that you can put toward your future academic and career goals! There are two upcoming opportunities to learn more about these positions:

Students, as the end of the semester approaches remember...

Students who plan to reside on campus for the spring interim will be consolidating to South Gruenhagen Hall beginning the week of May 9th. The schedule was shared with all residence hall students in email on April 27th. Please continue to monitor your UWO email for more information.

On Friday, April 9th all residence hall students received an express checkout envelope in their residence hall mailbox. Students may checkout of their residence hall and room anytime. Please refer to the email sent on April 9th for more checkout instructions and information.

Can you believe the semester is almost over? It seems like just yesterday it was snowing... Well, maybe it was. But now is the season of blooming, blossoming, and growing.

On Wednesday, May 5th at 5PM, Horizon Village will be holding an event featuring succulents for you to plant and take with you to remind you of how much you've grown this semester, and a paper airplane-flying competition. We'll also share information about how important the outdoors is for your health.
