Hi Titan Alumni!

I’m Mia - the new Alumni Relations student intern!
Throughout the summer I have been sharing alumni stories, creating media content, and keeping our community connected.
The school year is starting soon, and I’m looking forward to working with the UW-Oshkosh Alumni Relations Office and UWO Foundation over the next several months until I graduate next May. (I’ll be joining you soon as an alumna! 👩‍🎓🙌)

Get to know me!

I am majoring in Biomedical Science and Microbiology. In addition to my role as an alumni intern, I am also a member of the Honors College, a gymnast on our UWO Gymnastics Team, and a campus tour guide!

My hometown is Atlanta, Georgia, and I am happy I ventured north and discovered UWO! My favorite thing about this University is its community — which includes incredible alumni like you. I am passionate about connecting with you to help share your experiences and stories as alumni who continue to shape our Titan legacy.

I’m looking forward to sharing parts of UWO with you and helping tell your stories as well. Let me know what you’d like to see or hear about on our social media accounts and I’ll see what I can do!

Class Spotlight: Titans and NASA 🚀

The recent Artemis II Mission launch in April 2026 used the “go/no-go” space shuttle launch system that Rob Richardson designed 35 years ago for NASA as part of a secret project at IBM.
Richardson graduated from UW-Oshkosh in 1976 and went on to work as a product system engineer and then a special projects developer at IBM Milwaukee.

Another incredible example of how Titan alumni continue to make an impact far beyond campus!

August is National Golf Month!

Today we're celebrating the incredible women of UW Oshkosh Women's Golf past and present!

From conference championships to national tournament appearances, Titan golfers have represented UW Oshkosh with dedication, determination, and excellence on and off the course. The program has captured multiple WIAC team championships and earned NCAA Division III tournament appearances throughout its history.

Golf has a special place in the Oshkosh community, and we're proud of the student-athletes who continue to uphold the Titan tradition every time they step onto the tee.

UW–Oshkosh is gearing up for the 2026 Community First Fox Cities Marathon Weekend, and we’re looking for Titans to join our volunteer team! 🙌

UWO is sponsoring a Water Station during the Fleet Feet 10K and Ascension 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, Sept. 19, 8:30–10:15 a.m. on the Bill Miller Trail along E. Bell St. in Neenah.

Help cheer on runners and show your Titan pride while keeping runners hydrated, energized and encouraged along the course! 💧🏃💨

Today is National Hire A Veteran Day!

We’re celebrating our UWO alumni Veterans as well as the employers that recognize the value our veterans bring to the workforce.

UW-Oshkosh alumnus Dr. Paul F. Trilling, Class of ‘87 and recent addition to our Alumni Board of Directors, believes his military experience helped him immensely in his career in education. After graduating from UWO with majors in Criminal Justice and Political Science, Trilling served four years on active duty in the U.S. Army, followed by another four years in the Wisconsin National Guard.

His leadership in military service, especially his time as an infantry squad leader during combat in the Gulf War, led him down an unlikely path into the world of education, where Trilling has worn many hats over the past three decades at the elementary level, the university level after earning his PhD, and at the State Department of Education level.

As a veteran, Trilling’s military experience influences how he leads people, thinks on his feet and serves others as an educator.

Trilling says “one of the greatest outcomes of serving in the military was the endless leadership opportunities,” a natural parallel between leadership in his military career and after it.

UW-Oshkosh honors our veterans and values the impact of combining a college education with military service.
