A Look Back at UWO — 1919
Before the classrooms, residence halls, and campus we know today, the State Normal School in Oshkosh was already helping prepare Wisconsin students for the future.
This historic map, published in the April 1, 1919, Bulletin of the State Normal School in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, gives us a fascinating look at what the UW-Oshkosh campus looked like more than a century ago.
Today, the campus has changed dramatically—but its tradition of education and learning continues.
From the Winnebago County Historical Society, we send our best wishes for a wonderful and productive 2026–27 school year to all UW-Oshkosh students, faculty, staff, and to students throughout Winnebago County!
