Fire can grow fast. Be ready!

Join us for Fire Safety Day on Wednesday, September 9, and see firsthand just how quickly a fire can spread during our live demo room burns.

• Flags and tapestries
• Rice cookers
• Space heaters
• Toasters/toaster ovens
• Crockpots/Instant Pots
• E-scooters, E-bikes, and hoverboards
• Incense and wax burners

These are just a few examples! Come to Fire Safety Day to learn more about what you can and can’t have in your room and why these rules matter.

Apply to be a Desk Attendant or Mobile Recycling Technician!

The Desk Attendant (DA) is a member of the Residence Life and Housing Student Operations Services Staff (SOS Staff). Desk Attendants play an important role in the daily operations of the residence halls and the Department of Residence Life and Housing.

The Mobile Recycling Technician (MRT) is also a member of the Residence Life and Housing Student Operations Services Staff (SOS Staff). Mobile Recycling Technicians oversee the Residence Hall Mobile Recycling Program in accordance with the Oswego County Recycling Program.

Applications are open now and close on September 13.

If you applied during the Spring 2026 semester and were placed on the alternate list, you do not need to apply again. Your application will still be considered for available positions.
