Congrats to our senior members for graduating last week!

Tatiana assisted the Newspaper with her Photography skills capturing campus events as well as severe weather photographs.

Emma has been a member for all 4 years. She lead the newspaper as our Editor in Chief, and was a important member of our staff. She brought in many viewers with her man on the street interviews, revival of otter talk, photography, and video montages.

Thank you to our senior staff members for all the work you put in during your time here! We hope you go on to do great things!

Last week, held their annual Late Nights in the dining hall! Night 1 was Breakfast and PJs, Night 2 was Wings and Jerseys, and Night 3 was Mac and Cheese and formal wear (due to the Gibby Gala being beforehand)!

Students won big and small, and got their bellies full while studying late for finals!

On Saturday, students from Ottawa participated in a community cleanup of the debris left behind from the Monday Tornado.

The Community Cleanup was made by Mayor , many members of the Ottawa community contributed as well, including Kansas State Bank providing burgers, hotdogs and chips, and the Sno Shack providing free Snow Cones for volunteers.

On Monday night, Ottawa was struck with a devastating Tornado. Officials have now classified it as an EF2 tornado with wind speeds between 111 and 135 MPH. The tornado touched down around 15th St. and Eisenhower, just a block away from our own Rock Creek student housing. The tornado made its way to Main Street where it uprooted trees, tore the roof off the T-Mobile building, and nearly destroyed the Knights Inn. The tornado traveled 7 miles in total. The damage to residential areas was severe. Power was reported out at the university for almost 12 hours.
Thankfully, there have been no reported casualties and injuries have been minor. The community and first responders continue to build back stronger than ever.
