Ottawa University Campus Ministries

Ottawa University Campus Ministries The campus pastor oversees each group with the help of a campus ministries intern and student leaders.

Campus ministries seek to help students live in a Christ-centered community of grace within Ottawa University by leading and encouraging students to live transformed lives. Ottawa University Campus Ministries does this by planning a variety of events, activities, and programs to broaden and strengthen the faith of students, faculty, and staff. Events and activities range from Chapel services and r

etreats to community outreach and foreign missions trips. Campus ministries are available to anyone who wants to be a part of these great programs. Ottawa University also enjoys a close relationship with local churches. Although there are chapel services weekly, students are encouraged to participate with a church in the community.

One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.”

He said to them, “When you pray, say:

“‘Father,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come.
Give us each day our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins,
for we also forgive everyone who sins against us.
And lead us not into temptation.’”

Luke 11:1-4

Today is National Day of Prayer. We have lots to pray for, over, and about at OU, in Ottawa, in Kansas, in the US, and all over the world. In the midst of all that is happening we often forget... prayer is conversation with God, our Heavenly and Holy Abba (meaning "daddy" or "papa"; Romans 8:15). All he wants is for us to come to him, sharing all that we are feeling, thinking, experiencing, yearning, dreaming, doing, and being. May you find the time, energy, and space to talk with your loving Dad today as we remember who he is, who we are to him, and how we were taught to speak with him by himself in the flesh, Jesus.
