🚒🔥 IHCC Fire School Honors Outstanding Leader 🔥🚒
Indian Hills Community College Fire School is proud to recognize Mark Neff as this year’s Outstanding Advisory Committee Member Award recipient!
With a fire service career spanning more than 30 years, Mark has made an incredible impact on firefighter training across Southeast Iowa and the entire state. From starting in 1993 with Cedar Township/Fremont Fire Department to serving as Oskaloosa Fire Chief, his leadership helped improve community safety—lowering ISO ratings and expanding department capabilities.
Mark’s dedication to training is unmatched. He has instructed at every IHCC Fire School and taught countless firefighters in areas such as Firefighter I & II, HazMat, Fire Instructor, and more. His mentorship, experience, and commitment to rural fire service have shaped generations of first responders.
Through his continued work with the Iowa Fire Service Training Bureau and his long-standing role on the IHCC Fire School Advisory Council, Mark continues to make a lasting difference in fire service education.
👏 Thank you, Mark, for your dedication, leadership, and service to the fire community!
