We’re excited to officially welcome Mary O’Leary to the Indian Hills Community College Radiologic Technology Program as our newest Clinical Adjunct Instructor!

Mary graduated from the IHCC Radiologic Technology Program in 2021 and has been doing an excellent job in the field since graduation, working for Iowa Ortho and MercyOne Centerville Medical Center. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two young boys.

Mary is excited for the opportunity to work with students, help guide them through their clinical education, and give back to the program that helped launch her career. She will primarily assist with clinical site visits in locations closer to IHCC.

If you see Mary out and about, be sure to introduce yourself and help make her feel welcome as she joins the IHCC Radiologic Technology family.

We’re thankful to have her join our team and know our students will benefit from her knowledge, encouragement, and positive attitude.

Big milestone for the Radiologic Technology lab — the new x-ray equipment is officially installed and ready for students next week! 🤩

We still have a few finishing touches to complete — countertops, sink, and chairs — but the lab is finally coming together. Excited to see students learning on this equipment very soon. A lot of hard work went into this project, and it’s been worth it! 🩻

Look at this lab coming together! Hard to believe it’s almost done. And as a bonus, I even got to reconnect with Kelly — hadn’t seen him since our Mercy days. Funny how projects like this bring people back together.

Not going to lie… this lab is looking pretty fancy. 😊. More importantly, it’s another big step forward for our students and the future of the IHCC Radiologic Technology Program.

Radiologic Technology Lab Update:

These pictures show what most people never see — this equipment definitely isn’t “plug and play.” Between the wiring, connections, calibration, software, hardware, mounts, tracks, panels, and about a million moving parts, there’s a lot happening behind the scenes to make all the bells and whistles work the way they should.

They have been working incredibly hard, and it’s exciting watching the pieces finally start coming together. It’s hard to believe that in just a few short weeks, all of the planning, problem-solving, construction, and teamwork will turn into two new x-ray rooms for our students.

Another investment in the future of the IHCC Indian Hills Community College Radiologic Technology Program and the students who will train here for years to come.
