All undergraduate and graduate students are invited to the first KU Edwards Campus Write-In! The KUEC Writing Consultant and the School of Social Welfare Writing Consultant will both be available to answer questions that arise as you work and provide quick feedback on your writing. Pizza provided!

Meet KU’s Authors: Silvia Park

Join the Hall Center at the KU Edwards Campus to meet one of KU’s own authors, Silvia Park!
 
Silvia Park is the author of the novel Luminous and an Assistant Professor in the Department of English at KU. Before her stint at KU, she taught creative writing at Oberlin, the University of Utah’s Asia Campus, and NYU, with courses ranging from Speculative Fiction to Digital Storytelling. Her specialty slants speculative, applying it as a lens to render the strange ordinary and the ordinary strange. Her fiction won the 2018 Fiction Prize from the Sonora Review and was chosen as a finalist for the 2019 Black Warrior Review Contest. Her stories have been published in Black Warrior Review, Tor.com, The Best American Science Fiction and Fantasy, and elsewhere.
