Hey JCCC Paralegal Alum-tell us what is happening in your professional life. What have you been up to since graduating? I'll start off-graduated in 2010. I work full time at JCCC in the Performing Arts Series-this is my 10th year with the college. I like what I do with The Series-marketing and my interest legally lies in IP, especially trademark and copyright. Plan-to study for the Patent Agent licensing exam. Have I started yet-no, but...it is still out there on my horizon. I shall try hard to buckle down this summer and give it a whirl. Do I have any fellow paralegals who may wish to form a study group? Our "Likes" are growing everyday! Let's get some posts -share some thoughts from our Alumni and Students-what's happening in your work, your classes, your volunteer life? And don't forget, next Tuesday (yes file your tax return-lol) but join us in the Hudson Auditorium, Nerman Museum, JCCC proudly hosts The Kansas Court of Appeals as the panel of judges hear oral arguments. The oral arguments will be held in two sessions, 9-11:30 a.m. and 1-3 p.m. The event is open to students and the general public.

Big news! JCCC has been selected by the Kansas Supreme Court as a site to hear oral arguments. Mark the date on your calendar now, the Supreme Court will be on campus in the Craig Auditorium (GEB 233) on Wednesday, October 3, 2012, with the arguments beginning at 9:00 a.m. We hope that you will be able to take advantage of this rare opportunity to see the Court outside of Topeka.

Professor Norma Fordham presented a wonderful lecture on Forensics in Nursing and ignited my spark of "want to take a class" again-and if you missed it-somehow I'm almost sure that she will present it again!
