This Labor Day, we recognize the skilled craft professionals, project teams, designers, engineers and countless others whose talent and dedication bring our work to life every day.

The projects we build will outlast the people who built it. Someone will walk through those buildings for decades without ever knowing whose hands put them up.

But we know. Behind every project are people solving challenges, looking out for one another and building places that make a lasting impact.

To our Clayco team, trade partners and everyone across the industry who helps move our projects forward, thank you for all you do! Wishing everyone a safe and relaxing Labor Day.

A group of students from Clayco's Beyond the Bell program spent time on our Neil S. Hirsch Center jobsite at Washington University jobsite in St. Louis this week.

The building they toured is a career engagement center, designed to help students figure out what comes next. A purpose near and dear to Beyond The Bell's mission.

Our team walked them through what it takes to put a three-story building together: the trades involved, the sequencing, the coordination behind a structure that is now nearing completion.

Thank you to Beyond the Bell for bringing them out, and to our jobsite team for hosting.

AI’s greatest impact on construction will come from more than new tools. It will depend on the quality of the data behind them and the culture required to put insights into action.

At Ai4 2026 in Las Vegas, Clayco Chief Information Officer Jeff Miller joined Amit Sinha of TRC Companies, Patrick Murphy of Coastal Construction, and Shane Snider of Data Center Knowledge to discuss AI across the construction lifecycle.

The conversation highlighted practical applications already creating value: optimizing design decisions, forecasting material shortages, and identifying potential incident risks earlier to help build safer jobsites. Just as important, the panel addressed the industry-wide work still ahead: establishing consistent data standards and earning adoption in a sector where careful risk management is essential.

For Clayco, the path forward is clear: AI should strengthen the expertise of project teams, improve decision-making, and help us solve our clients’ toughest problems with greater certainty from blueprint to build.

Students are moving into our completed Penn State East Halls development this week!

Clayco's work at Penn State University added two new residence halls and renovated 14 more across the East Halls Development, bringing 4,570 beds to the University Park campus over nearly a decade.

Along the way, six Penn State graduates joined Clayco full-time, and our team is now underway on the multi-phase Po***ck Halls renovation. By the time Po***ck is complete, Clayco will have been part of the Penn State campus community for 15 years.

Thank you to all the teams and all our partners who have helped us transform the students' experience of campus life. https://ow.ly/jwes50ZEYK1

This week, Clayco welcomed Construction Forum’s Emerging Leaders to our St. Louis headquarters for an evening of networking and a behind-the-scenes look at our new Russell Burns Building.

Professionals from across the region’s built environment came together to exchange ideas, build new relationships, and learn from one another. Thank you to Construction Forum and everyone who joined us. We enjoyed opening our doors and creating space for the people who are helping shape what’s ahead for our industry and the St. Louis community.

Our Greenville Clayco team rolled up their sleeves this morning on the packaging line at Meals on Wheels of Greenville, working together to prepare 1,400 meals for homebound neighbors across the county.

From 8 to 10 a.m., our volunteers joined the assembly line, packing meals that would soon head out across more than 130 volunteer delivery routes. It was a great opportunity to experience firsthand the teamwork and coordination that goes into serving the community every week.

Thank you to Meals on Wheels of Greenville for welcoming our team and giving us the opportunity to be part of the incredible work happening in our community. And a big thank you to our Clayco volunteers for showing up and getting to work!

AI is changing what’s possible, and the infrastructure behind it is being built by people. That’s the message Clayco is sharing in The Wall Street Journal today: Built by humans who use AI.

As demand for AI accelerates, so does our responsibility to deliver the infrastructure that supports it thoughtfully. That means using technology to build smarter, creating better outcomes for our clients, engaging communities, and earning trust through how we work.

AI is a powerful tool, but people remain at the center of what we do. Our people bring expertise, collaboration, and ingenuity that turn new possibilities into real-world impact.

Technology may help us move faster. People move us forward.
