Bridgette Bogel: Unsmoothed Lumps

In Bogle’s work, pillows serve as metaphors for motherhood, the maternal body, and family life. She constructs these pieces from materials with domestic origins, old bed sheets, children’s clothing, and bras; imbuing everyday objects with personal and emotional resonance. In this talk, Bogle will discuss her transition from painting to soft sculpture, explore how motherhood has influenced her artistic practice, and share insights into her current studio work.

Contemporary Artist Lecture Series: Adrienne Dixon: Between Nature and the Built Environment: Large-Scale Painting as Site of Transformation

Sparkfest: Collective Animation Workshop on April 17, 2026 was a great success! 5 Animation students collaborated with 53 participants for 5 hours to create 5 short stopmotion animation. These animations were inspired by artworks from the Richard and Carole C***s Art Museum’s permanent collection. They will be part of the Unfolding Stories multi-channel projection mapping in October!
