First-year students and already presenting at major conferences? Only at Miami.

Giselle Pagliaro and Toyon Embry recently spoke at the Society of Professors of Education annual meeting in Los Angeles, sharing their personal stories that led them to the TEACh program at Miami. The two co-authored a paper detailing the challenges they faced through high school both personally and systemically.

Working under the guidance of TEACh On-Campus Coordinator Sydnie Singleton and Professor and Associate Dean Brian Schultz, the two students contributed to the conversation on the current teacher shortage and the ways in which their experiences reaffirm their commitment to the future of education.
