Miami Climbing This is the official page for MU Climbing. This club seeks to get students involved in the Hi everyone! Instead, safety mats are used to cushion falls.

Miami Climbing is designed to promote the lesser known, but majorly fun sport of bouldering. Bouldering is the bare essentials of rock climbing and ropes and harnesses are not used. Climbers only climb to a height of 12-16 feet but the routes, or, "problems" are tricky to solve and often require creativity and balance rather than brute strength. We plan on taking trips to various bouldering locati

ons both indoors and outdoors in addition to spending time at the rock wall at Miami. Travel locations include Rock Quest in Cincinnati and The Red River Gorge in Kentucky. Students of all skill levels are accepted, and no experience is necessary. Bouldering is easy to pick up and you can never stop improving.

Our most popular event of the semester is only ten days away. The Rocktober Boulder Competition will be held at the Recreation Center Rock Climbing Wall on October 19th, 7-9pm.

Absolutely all skill levels are welcome - compete or come to try some of the year's most creative boulder problems. We are welcoming participants from Wright State, University of Cincinnati, and anyone else coming to visit, but guests must still sign up and pay for their entry into the Rec Center and Comp. You must sign a waiver to climb, so come early.

It is time for our annual spooky climbing competition!

This year our Rocktober Boulder Competition will be on 10/20 from 7-9!!! Try to get there early so you can make sure you’re all clear to compete!!

There will be prizes for the winners in each respective group!
