Miami University Center for Student and Inclusion Empowering women to impact the world Empowering non-dominant identities

The International Transgender Day of Visibility, occurring annually on March 31, is dedicated to celebrating trans and nonbinary people while raising awareness of the discrimination still faced by the greater transgender community worldwide.

Show us what visibility means to you! Not everyone is—or can be—visible in the same ways. We’re interested in works of art, poetry, or video stories highlighting your personal experiences or thoughts on what visibility in the trans community is, can be, or should be. Submissions will be accepted by email ([email protected]) until 12:00pm noon on Wednesday, March 24. Please note that this project will be shared publicly on March 31, 2021.

This year, we’re partnering with trans groups across Ohio to make TDOV last not just one day, but all month long. Stay tuned for more details! 🏳️‍⚧️

Who deserves to be in a museum? For too long, the answer has been "the extraordinary" -- those aspirational historymakers who inspire us with their successes...

To all of our Women*s Center friends and family.

We wanted to let you know that our office is once again moving into newly renovated space within the Center for Student Diversity and Inclusion, Armstrong Student Center 2030. We hope you all will come and visit us in our new location once we are settled and moved in.

We are excited for all of the wonderful opportunities this move will offer our Center and our patrons. So happy to be housed in the same location as LGBTQ+ Initiatives and Intercultural Initiatives. We will be hosting an Open House sometime this fall and you can come see our new location.

Here's to the beginning of a great new academic year.

Hello Women*s Center Friends,

Just wanted to send out a mid-summer check in with all of you to remind you that the Women*s Center will be going through a lot of positive changes over the rest of the summer.

In late July we will move our Women*s and LGBTQ+ Center into our new space in the Armstrong Student Center, within the Cultural Center, room # 2030.

All of the staff from the Women*s & LGBTQ+ Center will relocate to space within the Center for Student Diversity and Inclusion (formally ODA).

We are very excited about our new location and the wonderful partnerships and collaborations our new space will bring to students, faculty, staff and to the Miami University community.

We hope you all will come visit us in our new space when the school year. We will have a lot of new things to share with you!

See you all in August.
