SOE grad Sam Sepe is heading to Greece!

The 2026 curriculum and instruction master's graduate earned a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship and plans to bring the experience home to Mississippi classrooms. "Authentic learning begins with relationships," she said.

What a way to wrap up the year! With the symposium and Ambassador Laua, we finished the semester on such a high note.

It is always so much fun having students in Guyton Hall, it will be so quiet without you all here this summer!

As a quick reminder, please make sure to pick up your reader cards in the SAFE Office and your cap and gown at the JAC. We can't wait to celebrate with you bright and early on Friday! The School of Education commencement will begin at 9:00 a.m. at The Sandy and John Black Pavilion.

Love seeing our alumni come full circle!

Today, returning grads and current GAs, Bryanna and Emily stopped by our EDCI 353 section to share their classroom management tips ranging from elementary to high school. They gave insights on how to manage first day of school chaos and how to stay on schedule with the objectives as they go through out the year.

There’s nothing quite like our undergraduates learning from those who have recently walked in their shoes.

Recently we had a great time celebrating some of the accomplishments of our alumni and students! It was a privilege to honor our Practitioners of Distinction and welcome our newest Hall of Fame inductees, individuals whose contributions to the field reflect everything we aspire to be at the School of Education.

We also took time to celebrate some of our amazing School of Education students, presenting awards for the remarkable accomplishments they have achieved throughout their time here. We can not wait to see the lasting impact they make on their students!
