Ole Miss Sigma Chi is leading a community outreach project to raise funds, order vitamins, order packaging supplies, and prepare COVID-19 Care Packages to deliver to the Oxford Medical Ministries Clinic. Oxford Medical Ministries Clinic is a public healthcare clinic that provides free healthcare to lower-income families. These COVID-19 Care Packages will contain: a 14 day supply of Zinc, a 14 day supply of melatonin, a 14 day supply of Vitamin D3, and a 14 day supply of Vitamin C. The vitamins that are listed above are recommended by the CDC to help reduce many complications that many individuals face from COVID-19.
During this pandemic, many families and individuals have been impacted physically, mentally, emotionally, and financially, and the goal of this project is to provide materials that could help alleviate some of the physical and financial burden of those infected. All of the funds raised will go to our goal of ordering enough materials to package 1,000 Covid-19 Care Packages.
Oxford Medical Ministries Clinic provides healthcare to families that work at least 30 hours a week, have no health insurance, Medicaid, Medicare, VA benefits, or Social Security income. The clinic is a non-profit, privately funded, organization, so if you would like to donate outside of this event please contact Marlene Bishop at 662-234-1374 or visit the clinic at 205 South Commerce Cove.

Yesterday, the Eta Chapter accepted 66 remarkable young men into our 2020 New Member Class. We are beyond thankful for the opportunity to try and replicate a traditional Bid Day, despite the current circumstances. We look forward to accepting these men into our brotherhood in the near future.

The Eta Chapter is happy to announce that the Dirty Mike and The Boys shirts wound up raising $17,165.89! All profits have been directly sent to support St. Jude's Children's Hospital as promised. We are blown away by this success and believe it goes to show the content of Michael's character as well as the amount of individuals he left an impression on throughout his lifetime. Thank you to everyone who contributed towards this cause to celebrate Michael's life!
