The Urban Leadership Internship Program is an integrated educational internship program that combines professional practice, civic engagement and leadership development, and urban exploration in the Dayton community. Visit the page to see how the program is progressing, what current students are doing, and update us on what you are doing now. Only Honors College students in their second and third

year are eligible to apply for the program. The mission of ULIP is designed to support student growth and understanding in both professional settings and in civic engagement and leadership. Based in the heart of the Dayton community, ULIP connects Miami honors students to the urban community through a ten-week service-internship program that teaches students to analyze the complex, interconnected relationships between business and community. With the support and guidance of their internship and service agencies, the student interns are expected to integrate with the urban Dayton community; learn from community leaders; and serve the needs of the local community, contributing to the livelihood and well-being of Dayton’s urban communities.
