University of Mississippi School of Law Negotiation Board The team hosts an annual in-house negotiation competition in the Fall for 2L and 3L students and in the Spring for 1L students.

The Negotiation Board is a National Championship award winning advocacy organization at the University of Mississippi School of Law, providing students with competitive experiences and practical skills in transactional and business law. The Board also participates in various regional and national external negotiation competitions.

Honoring faculty advisor Marie Cope, this award recognizes a member of the Negotiation Board with exceptional skill, passion, and effectiveness in advocacy: The cornerstone skill developed in members through the Negotiation Board. Team Competition Awards honor those teams with distinguished team efforts, while Individual Competition Awards honor one 3L and one 2L whose personal performances warrant special recognition.

Noah Crosley and Ariel Williams, the Transatlantic Negotiation Competition World Champions, are recipients of the Outstanding Team Performance Award. Congratulations, Noah and Ariel!

Ten competitions later, we end competition season on a high note with three incredibly talented students: 3L Merritt Baria, 2L Kathryn Lawfield, and 2L Karsen Adams. The skill, intellect, and talent these three bring to the table will no doubt serve them well against their competition. We wish you all the best, Merritt, Kathryn, and Karsen, and we thank you for your time and investment you have devoted to preparing to represent us well at Duke!

✈️ Next Stop: Detroit, Michigan, for the 2024 Wayne State Taft Transactional Law Competition! 🤝

We are sending well wishes to 3Ls Sierra Albano and Anne Carrie Swoope as they compete in the rigorous Wayne State Taft Transactional Law Competition this upcoming weekend! Sierra and Anne Carrie have been working diligently over the past month in submitting their pre-competition drafts. Next, they’ll go head-to-head with their competition, engaging in contract negotiations at the law offices of Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP. The Negotiation Board and Ole Miss Law will certainly be well represented by these two outstanding negotiators! Thank you, Sierra and Anne Carrie, for your hard work!

🌏 MEET YOUR WORLD CHAMPIONS! 🌏

Ariel Williams and Noah Crosley win the Transatlantic Negotiation Competition, co-hosted by Syracuse University College of Law and Queen’s University Belfast! The competition consisted of 28 teams from across the world, hailing from 6 different continents, 15 countries, and 15 time zones. Five rounds of competition later, all consisting of complex problems on international law, the panel of judges reached consensus when Ariel and Noah went head-to-head with The West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences of India in the final round: The Negotiation Board and Ole Miss Law are where Champions are born. 🏆

Congratulations on this historic international win, Ariel and Noah! We could not possibly be prouder of you!
