The Miami University Triathlon Team, founded in the late 1990's, is a team of elite and amateur triathlon and multisport athletes at Miami University. The team is comprised of approximately 20 competitive undergraduate and graduate student-athletes attending the university. These student-athletes come from a broad variety of backgrounds, be it high school athletics, collegiate athletics, or even n

o athletic background at all. As a team, we are very welcoming and accommodating and have spots from the beginner to the professional level that can be filled. Every year, our goal is to become the best, most recognizable triathlon and multisport club team not only in Ohio, but in the Mideast, and to represent Miami University annually at the USAT Collegiate National Championship, where we have a consistent goal of placing in the top half of teams. In addition to the athletic side of triathlon and multi-sport, our team also takes pride in its strong social component, which involves community outreach and assistance, social gatherings, and much more. Wrapped up the year at the USAT Collegiate Club Nationals in Tuscaloosa, AL! Despite the fact that the swim was cancelled due to dangerous water conditions -- resulting in a duathlon format of run-bike-run -- everyone on the team still gave it their all and raced fast. Andrew Wallace placed 19th overall in the Draft Legal race on Friday, where Leah Grandy and Dannie Roberts placed 26th and 52nd, respectively. Andrew also placed 35th in the Olympic Distance race on Saturday, where Arden McMath placed 59th overall for females. Shoutout to all of the wonderful parents that came down to cheer us on, making the weekend extra special - we appreciate your endless support! Congrats to all who raced, to the seniors moving on, and to another amazing year!!!

Happy to have finished the fall season on such a good note! Congratulations to all of our team members on a great season! We look forward to training with you this winter and becoming closer this school year. Thank you to all of our family and friends who support our crazy antics and drive for hours to watch us race, we couldn't do it without you!!

Smile if you're excited for a weekend off of racing! Miami had an amazing time at Dayton's home triathlon, we had some new people come out and some returning members do their first race. All in all a good day, now rest and relax because we have ONE MORE FALL RACE!!

We "flexed" our muscles today at the MECTC championships and made a few "gains" while we were there! Leah Grandy placed 3rd overall for the women and we also had some RedHawks do their first race of the season or TRI their first race as a RedHawk! Great job today everyone!

Miami Triathlon had an awesome day yesterday! With 5 people running in the Ross Heart TriFit Challenge, we came out with 3 tip finishes! We also had Alec run in the Rock N Roll 10K in Chicago and come out as the 6th male overall! Go RedHawks!!!

Miami Triathlon had an awesome year this year: a second place finish in the MECTC for the women, a top 10 finish in the MECTC for the men, a combined co-Ed finish of 3rd place in the MECTC, 3 awards from Miami Club Sports, and some amazing finishes from Collegiate Nationals - both in the Draft Legal and Olympic Races! Thank you all for your support - especially our sponsors! We hope to continue to grow and representing Miami with pride! Keep your eye out for information on the Miami Triathlon this fall!!

This past weekend, Miami Tri traveled to Tuscaloosa, AL to compete at the Collegiate Club National Championships. Despite the heat, it was a weekend of fast finishes with PR's set by many! For the draft legal race on Friday, Leah Grandy placed 31st in the nation for women, while Casey Gallagher placed 28th and Andrew Wallace 44th for men. For the Olympic race on Saturday, Leah, Casey, and Arden McMath all placed in the top 100 with several other members in the top 150. Congrats to the entire team for an exciting weekend! And an additional shoutout to Arden who ran THE Boston Marathon just 4 days before this race!! 🏊🏻‍♀️🚴🏻‍♀️🏃🏼‍♀️
