Introducing our 2026 Outstanding Junior of the Year from Utah Alpha at the University of Utah: Brother Stiles Dichter.

For Brother Stiles, Phi Delta Theta wasn't just a place to belong β€” it was a place to become the greatest version of himself.

"That energy is what drew me in," he says of the Utah Alpha chapter. "It hasn't only taught me how to lead, but how to be a good, ethical person and businessman and how to respect people even when they have opposing views."

That mindset shows up everywhere β€” from coordinating large-scale formals and group trips for 250+ members, to growing the Fintech Club to 140+ members, to founding two companies of his own. But some of his most meaningful Phi Delta Theta moments have happened around a campfire at brotherhood retreats.

"I truly felt heard and surrounded by people who genuinely cared about me and what I had to say," he shares of the chapter's brotherhood retreats. "I have never had a single moment where I regretted joining something greater than myself."

β€œI might have been given a bad break. But I’ve got an awful lot to live for.”

87 years after Lou Gehrig became the face of ALS, there is still no cure.

Today on , we continue our mission to raise awareness of ALS, support the need for research and care, remember those who bravely fought, and recognize those who continue to battle.

Tomorrow is ! We're proud to honor one of baseball's all-time greats β€” and one of our own. Brother Lou Gehrig's legacy of strength, humility, and perseverance lives on in every Phi Delt, and in the millions still fighting ALS in his name. βšΎοΈπŸ’™

On Wednesday evening, Phi Delta Theta Fraternity proudly presented the Lou Gehrig Memorial Award to Kansas City Royals star Bobby Witt Jr., recognizing not only his excellence on the field, but the character and leadership he displays off of it. The Fraternity presents this award annually in honor of our dear brother, Lou Gehrig, whose legacy continues to inspire generations through courage, humility, and service to others.

While the award celebrates one of MLB’s outstanding players, it also gives the brotherhood the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the ALS community.

In partnership with the Live Like Lou Foundation and the Permobil Foundation, lifelong Royals fan Jack Stanley, who is living with ALS, was celebrated on the field and gifted a custom Kansas City Royals-branded Permobil wheelchair.

Moments like these are what the Lou Gehrig Memorial Award is truly about. Thank you, Bobby, for leaving ALS better than you found it. βšΎοΈπŸ’™
