This scholarship honors Caroline's vibrant spirit and her deep love for Ole Miss and Kappa Kappa Gamma. We are saddened by the passing of Betty Jane Parks Gary. Mrs. Gary was a Delta Rho in the early 1950s and served as Delta Rho’s chapter advisor in the 1970-1980s. Along with her many years of teaching, Betty Jane touched so many lives and will be fondly remembered for her dedication, guidance, mentorship, quick wit, hopsitality and love of Delta Rho, Oxford and Ole Miss. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her daughters, Melissa, Lindy and Mary Ann, and their families.

And with tears and with laughter, we’ll always remember our dear Kappa days. 💙

“After deciding on Ole Miss for college, I knew I wanted to go through recruitment to find my home away from home. Throughout rush week, going into Kappa brought me a sense of overwhelming joy and excitement. I was so quick to know that Kappa sisterhood was something that I wanted to be a part of. Every single girl I encountered was so confident in themselves and uplifting to each other.
I’m so thankful that Kappa has brought me the sweetest new friendships and connected me with amazing girls from all over. Whenever I walk into the house I know I can always find a friendly face to eat with, study with, or chat with. I am so excited to continue to learn and grow with all of my new sisters! Kappas it!!!”

“Coming to Ole Miss and going through recruitment, I was unsure of what it would be like and how I’d be perceived. It was intimidating initially but I knew one thing, and that was my eagerness to meet girls from all over the country who were well versed in culture and diversity. Kappa was exactly that. The second I stepped foot into KKG, I truly felt like I met my people. It was so surreal because I knew very few people but somehow felt like they were all my best friends. Everyone was so kind and well-spoken, it was exactly where I knew I needed to be. I am so confident that this sisterhood will not only encourage my advancement in academics, but will most importantly bring me closer to God and people who will last me beyond my years here at Ole Miss. 💙”

Looking back on Philanthropy rounds with so much love in our hearts! 💌

We had the BEST time sharing our philanthropy these past two days👏💙

We are so blessed to have the ability to share our mission to raise awareness for Mental Health and Well Being. It is such an important topic in todays world and we are so honored to support the in this cause. It has been a truly life changing experience!

We are also so blessed to have a second philanthropy, The Caroline McCollum Simrall Hood Memorial Scholarship Fund. We aspire to let her amazing joy live on through the scholarship. Her legacy has left an impact on our lives and we are so grateful to help carry it on.
