One last chance to vote!!
Lake Erie College Alumna Frances Jennings Casement has been named a finalist for the America 250 Bobblehead, and we need your vote!
Frances Jennings Casement (1821–1890) was a passionate abolitionist and women’s rights advocate. From her home in Painesville, she helped freedom seekers as part of the Underground Railroad and later became president of the Ohio Woman Suffrage Association, working alongside Susan B. Anthony and Elizabeth Cady Stanton to advance equal rights. Today, she is honored on Lake Erie College’s Women’s History Walkway.
Voting ends tomorrow, Tuesday, March 17. The winner will have a bobblehead created in their honor, and it will be given away at the Lake County Fair on Saturday, August 1.
