Today marks the official start of the Basic Operations Firefighter Academy (BOF) Class SU26-01 at the new Harper College Emergency Services Training Center!

This class represents a major milestone as the first BOF Academy to be delivered at the ESTC, and we could not be more excited to begin this journey with our recruits. Over the coming weeks, these students will develop the knowledge, skills, and professionalism needed to serve their communities as firefighters.

The launch of this academy is an important step forward for firefighter training in our region and reflects Harper College’s commitment to preparing the next generation of fire service professionals through high-quality, hands-on education.

Congratulations to Lt. Evert and Lt. Petersen on recently completing the Company Fire Officer program at Harper College. This was the first Company Officer class to be fully completed at the new Fire and Emergency Training Grounds at Harper College in Palatine.

🚒 Big addition to the Emergency Services Training Center! 🚒

We are excited to announce the arrival of our newest fire apparatus at the ESTC, generously provided through the support of the Schaumburg Fire Department. This truck will play an important role in hands-on firefighter training, practical evolutions, and preparing the next generation of firefighters for the realities of the job.

A sincere thank you to the Schaumburg Fire Department for their partnership and continued support of fire service education and training. Opportunities like this help us continue building one of the premier firefighter training programs in the region.
