Congratulations to Lt. Evert and Lt. Petersen on recently completing the Company Fire Officer program at Harper College. This was the first Company Officer class to be fully completed at the new Fire and Emergency Training Grounds at Harper College in Palatine.

🚒 Big addition to the Emergency Services Training Center! 🚒

We are excited to announce the arrival of our newest fire apparatus at the ESTC, generously provided through the support of the Schaumburg Fire Department. This truck will play an important role in hands-on firefighter training, practical evolutions, and preparing the next generation of firefighters for the realities of the job.

A sincere thank you to the Schaumburg Fire Department for their partnership and continued support of fire service education and training. Opportunities like this help us continue building one of the premier firefighter training programs in the region.

The Hoffman Estates Fire Department is offering a Heartsaver CPR/AED course on Wednesday, May 20 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Hoffman Estates Fire Station #24, 5775 Beacon Pointe Dr.

The course is intended for those with little to no medical training who want to learn CPR and AED use. Participants will learn when to phone 9-1-1, how to administer CPR, how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED), and how to provide relief from choking. The cost of the course is $50 per person.

Pre-registration is required; class sizes are limited. Call the Hoffman Estates Fire Department Administration Office at 847-843-4825 to register. Registration deadline is May 13.
