that College of the Desert has two food pantries available to all currently enrolled students?

In partnership with the FIND Food Bank, the College of the Desert Basic Needs Center has opened food pantries at two of our campuses: Palm Desert (South Annex 5) and Indio (in the former Roadrunner Pantry, behind the Bookstore). Here, students are able to access non-perishable items, fresh fruits and vegetables, and other household items.

How to access the pantry:
📲 Download the MyCOD App.
🪪 Visit a pantry and show your COD ID as well as your current schedule on the MyCOD app.
🔴 Once approved, will be issued a unique identifiable sticker that will be placed on your COD ID. This will help us better serve students at check in.
🥦 Enjoy this resource! Limit: once per week.

This we're celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Vocational Nursing Program at College of the Desert! 🩺

“For 60 years, College of the Desert’s Vocational Nursing Program has provided students with the education and hands-on training needed to enter a profession that is essential to the health and well-being of our community,” - Superintendent/President Val Martinez Garcia.

We are proud to celebrate the generations of students, faculty, staff and healthcare partners who have contributed to the program’s success and lasting impact on the Coachella Valley. 🤍

A new generation of local nurses will also be celebrated at tomorrow's Vocational Nursing Pinning Ceremony: a nursing tradition that celebrates students’ successful completion of their program and transition into the nursing profession.
