At 16, Zach Dyce was called to pick up his intoxicated father after a serious accident. Years later, after losing his mother to an opioid overdose, he chose to turn that experience into action instead of letting it define him.

Now he’s building an AI platform aimed at helping behavioral health providers spend less time fighting paperwork and more time helping people recover. Not every tech story starts with disruption. Some start with survival. https://f.mtr.cool/hrxyavpfnq

Why does Netflix always seem to know what you’ll binge next? Or Uber Eats somehow suggest the exact food you’re craving?

The recommendation systems behind these platforms are incredibly powerful, but they do more than shape what we watch or order. They can also impact restaurants, drivers, creators, and small businesses in ways most people never see.

Now, a new approach is rethinking how these algorithms work, not just to keep people clicking, but to create a better experience for everyone involved. https://f.mtr.cool/abceeyrqab

Summer Scamper is more than a 5K run. It is a fun, family-friendly community event that brings people together while supporting vital child and maternal health programs at Stanford Medicine. Join us for a 5K run, walk, or kids’ fun run, and family festival. It is a great opportunity for individuals, families, and company teams to connect, stay active, and give back.

Most people think police encounters escalate because of actions. But sometimes it starts much earlier, with tone, attitude, and a few words that instantly make someone feel respected… or threatened. “Here’s why I stopped you” and “License and registration” can lead to two completely different outcomes. https://f.mtr.cool/eskatxdhtm

It starts as fun. Then sleep gets worse, school slips, and family time disappears. For more teens, gaming is becoming more than just a hobby, and parents often miss the warning signs until it begins affecting everyday life. Knowing what to look for early can make all the difference. Healthy boundaries today can prevent much bigger struggles tomorrow. https://f.mtr.cool/lhnddpdwpi

2026 Bike to Work Day Breakfast Celebration: hundreds of bicyclists from all over the Bay Area stopped by our energizer station on Thursday, May 14, to refuel after the ride and celebrate the joys of biking! We’d like to thank every rider and all who helped make this event another success, with a special thanks to Silicon Valley Bicycle Coalition (SVBC).

There’s still time in May (Bike Month), and if you Pledge to Ride your bike this month, SVBC will set you up with activities, programs, and classes to keep you riding joyfully all month long: https://f.mtr.cool/dplfcgxouj

We had a wonderful time at The Hub exploring creativity and sustainability through our Weaving into Nature workshop. We used repurposed magazine images of nature and created beautifully layered paper art while learning simple weaving techniques from artist Bebe Jacobs.

It was a relaxing and engaging experience that invited everyone to slow down, get creative, and see everyday materials in a new way. This workshop was a thoughtful reminder that even discarded pieces can be transformed into something meaningful and beautiful.

What if getting healthier does not start with a strict plan… but with a simple conversation?
People do not just become more active with an AI health coach, they start to think differently about exercise. It feels more doable. More personal. Even everyday movement begins to count.

Instead of being told what to do, you are guided to find what works for you. Because when something feels achievable, you are far more likely to keep going. https://f.mtr.cool/hfnthopred
