As the Director of The Florida Center for Reading Research, Dr. Patton Terry's work focuses on bridging research and practice to improve literacy outcomes, particularly for vulnerable student populations, including Black children, students with disabilities, and those from low-income backgrounds. She has led research-practice partnerships that bring together district and school leaders, researchers, and practitioners.
