The Council is composed of ten representatives and a President. One of the most important functions of the Council is communicating students' concerns to the University administration and faculty. Another responsibility of the Council is exercising budget authority over Activity and Service fees, which are collected as part of tuition. SGC uses Student Activity and Service Fees to fund student act
ivities and organizations as well as other programs to benefit students. As one of the most active PC student organizations, SGC coordinates the annual Torch Run each fall at Homecoming, a Graduation Banquet each spring, a Graduation Reception each spring, monthly food socials (where students enjoy meals provided by SGC), and various other student activities throughout the year.
